A 6-day soulful Camino Skaaptrek between the Bo-Hantam and Boesmanland
“Skaaptrek” is a seasonal guided journey that blends sheep, footsteps, and faith. It is both a deeply personal and universally meaningful pilgrimage, offering clarity, discernment at life’s crossroads, and guidance through times of transition.
The “Skaaptrek” is rooted in the ancient Camino walking and spiritual tradition. “Skaaptrek” echoes the timeless practice of leaving behind familiar pastures and stepping out in faith toward new horizons.
In essence, the Skaaptrek is a camino of arduous, deep soul work required in becoming deeply human and taking the leap to live your life — fully alive.
Skaaptrek is a reset and a shared experience with intimate conversations about acceptance, appreciation and awe with like-minded individuals. It requires walking with, and addressing your questions, rhythms, wounds and healing. The journey takes surprising turns, and you may find yourself standing naked and completely vulnerable before yourself and letting go. At the same time, you experience the emergence of the new, passing through the eye of the needle. This journey affords the pilgrim a rekindling and renewal of their connections with themselves, their Maker, others and nature.
The Skaaptrek Pilgrims Camino is a moving space and silence in action, which welcomes and enables rebirth.
